Tell Congress: Reject BLM Mustang Slaughter Plan

The Trump Administration's Fiscal Year 2019 budget is out, and it again calls on Congress to lift long-standing prohibitions on destruction and slaughter of wild horses and burros. The budget seeks to cut approximately $14 milion from the budget of the Interior Department's Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wiid Horse and Burro Program by selling as many as 90,000 federally protected American mustangs for slaughter to supply foreign markets for horsemeat.

We now have two fights on our hands as Congress works to finalize Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 spending legislation and begins the appropriations process for 2019. So far we've held off the Trump Administration's push for mass mustang slaughter... and we must continue to press Congress to stand with the 80 percent of Americans who want our wild horses and burros protected, not brutally slaughtered. So, please, make your voice heard today!
