This is a crucial time for wild horses -- and for our work in defending them. There’s so much happening:
- We’re in court with a lawsuit against the Bureau of Land Management to stop their cruel ten-year plan to round up and remove over 9,000 federally-protected wild horses in southeastern Nevada. Help us keep up the fight against BLM.
- We’re in the halls of Congress fighting for a slaughter-free budget. The Senate has wisely included provisions banning mass killing and slaughter in their bill, but unfortunately the House’s version allows for the “destruction” of wild horses and burros. And to make it worse, the Administration is doubling down on slaughter in its 2019 budget. Join our efforts to maintain protections for horses and burros.
- We’ve been on the ground in Nevada, Utah and Oregon witnessing and documenting a series of inhumane roundups conducted with our federal tax dollars, so that Americans across the country can see this despicable treatment of our iconic mustangs. Fund our work to make sure that BLM is held accountable.
With everything happening, we must raise the resources necessary to keep up this fight. That’s why we’re announcing our Spring Protection Campaign to raise funds for all our vital work.
Our goal? Raising $50,000 in the next two weeks to protect wild horses and burros. It’s bold -- but we know that with advocates like you on our side, we can do it.
Can you chip in now to help us kick off our campaign and do even more for wild horses?
As always, thank you sincerely for all your support. We’ll keep you up-to-date on everything we’re doing to protect our wild horses and burros.
