The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is moving forward with the wipeout of nearly half of Wyoming's remaining wild horses.
We need your support for emergency litigation. Wyoming's wild horses need us now more than ever!
Just moments ago, we filed a lawsuit in federal court to block the BLM's proposed roundup of more than 800 wild horses from the Adobe Town, Salt Wells and Great Divide Basin Herd Management Areas (HMAs).
The proposed roundup is Step #2 in the BLM's plan to devastate the wild horse populations living on more than two million acres of land known as the Wyoming Checkerboard.
Losing this battle is not an option. The horses are counting on us.
We have been on the frontlines of the fight to save America's wild horses and you have been there with us. Our legal action stopped the BLM from sterilizing wild free roaming horses in the White Mountain HMA and stopped the "zeroing out" of (eliminating all wild horses from) the Jakes Wash Herd Area in Nevada. Our intervention in lawsuits filed by ranchers in Wyoming and Nevada has given wild horses and burros a voice in federal court.
Will you continue to stand with us as we take on this next legal battle?
Joining us in this litigation are our coalition partner The Cloud Foundation, our parent organization Return to Freedom and two amazing wild horse photographers - Carol Walker and Kimerlee Curyl. With you on our side, we are a powerful team!
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your compassion, generosity and dedication to protecting and preserving America's wild horses and burros.
