Dear Supporter,

Great opportunity for northern Nevada and northern California supporters and mustang lovers!

"The Lost Art of Starting Colts" is a three-day clinic (April 4-6) taught by three top trainers-- Jason Patrick, Dan Stewart and Dan James -- and featuring wild horses rescued by key AWHPC supporter Ellie Phipps Price. Ellie is the producer of the new documentary film AMERICAN MUSTANG and the owner of a private California sanctuary that is home to over 200 rescued wild horses. She'll be bringing six of her 3-year old mustangs from the sanctuary to the clinic. These youngsters were born to mares captured from the Nevada range (Pilot Valley/Tonao areas) by the state Department of Agriculture and shipped to a slaughter auction. The horses would have been sold to kill buyers if Ellie and Jill Starr from Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue had not stepped in to rescue them.

Three of the young mustangs will be chosen for the clinic and all will available for adoption after the event! (They are already halter trained and very friendly and curious with people.)

If you're interested in meeting Ellie and her horses and learning from master horsemen about training colts, visit becomeahorseman.com for more information.
