Today is the National Day of the Horse! Please celebrate horses by taking action.
We wanted to remind you, if you haven't done so already, to urge your senators to follow up on all the horses sent from the Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge to slaughter middleman Stan Palmer.
Beautiful stallion in Sheldon.
To mark this day, please take a moment to speak up for these horses who have been forsaken by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS).
In October, Sheldon shipped over 230 of these horses to Stan Palmer. Worse, they're paying Palmer $1,000 per horse to "dispose" of these animals.
Thanks to you, U.S. Senators have begun to ask questions about this dirty deal. Now we need to up the pressure to get them to act. If you haven't already, please take a minute to demand that our Senators force the FWS to account for the wellbeing and location of every single horse shipped to Stan Palmer in 2013.
Thank you for all that you do!
