Arizona's largest newspaper is promoting a five-part series and video documentary on the wild horse issue. Beneath the hoopla is a lengthy but poorly reported piece with an underlying anti-wild horse bias. After delving into the issue for six months, the reporter shockingly avoids any reference to the National Academy of Sciences 2013 report on the BLM Wild Horse and Burro Program. Also inexplicably omitted was coverage of the national significance of the wild horse issue in the newspaper's own backyard - the fight over the future of the Salt River wild horses.
